Product Description

Picosecond Laser Machine Overview

Working Principle

According to the principle of selective photopyrolysis, when shorted the action time of the laser, the laser energy diffuses less to the surrounding tissue. If the energy is limited to the target that needs treatment, the surrounding normal tissue can be protected, so the selectivity of treatment becomes stronger.
The picosecond laser pulse width is only 1% of the traditional Q-switched laser. Under this ultra-short pulse width, the light energy is too late to be converted into heat energy, and there is almost no photothermal effect. When the laser energy is absorbed by the target, its volume will expand rapidly, and then be blasted and torn into pieces. The picosecond laser is more powerful and complete in crushing pigment particles and less damaging the surrounding tissue. From the perspective of treatment, the effective rate can reach more than 94% (Ota nevus almost 100%).

Treatment Advantages

  • High Energy & Short Pulse Duration: Energy releases into tissue in trillionths of a second, breaking pigment into smaller particles faster and easier to absorb than traditional Q-switch lasers.
  • Low Risk & Painless: Reduced pulse duration significantly decreases skin damage, ensuring safer and less painful treatments.
  • Comfortable Treatment: Requires no anesthesia and produces no thermal inflammation during procedures.
  • Fast Results: Requires only 3-4 sessions for tattoo removal compared to 6-8 sessions needed by traditional Q-switched lasers.
  • High Performance: Advanced picosecond laser technology completely removes stubborn tattoos and deep pigments.
  • Safe for All Skin Types: Effective across skin types with no obvious post-treatment hyperpigmentation.

Postoperative Care Guidelines
After treatment, slight pain, temporary redness, swelling, or minor scabbing may occur. Scabs fall off naturally within 7–14 days; do not peel manually to avoid pigmentation.
Keep the treated region dry for the first few days to prevent infection. Limit spicy food, alcohol, and smoking.
Transient pigmentation in rare cases typically subsides within 1 to 3 months.
Avoid direct sun exposure and apply physical sunscreens to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Consult with our clinical team promptly if any unusual skin reaction persists.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does the Picosecond laser remove tattoos and pigments?
The Picosecond laser uses ultra-short pulses (trillionths of a second) to deliver high-energy light. This photo-acoustic effect shatters pigment into microscopic dust particles, which are then naturally eliminated by the body's immune system with minimal heat damage to surrounding skin.
How many treatment sessions are needed for tattoo removal?
While traditional Q-switched lasers require 6 to 8 sessions, the Picosecond laser typically requires only 3 to 4 sessions for effective tattoo clearance, significantly shortening total treatment time.
Is the Picosecond laser treatment painful?
Due to ultra-short pulse durations and reduced photothermal impact, treatment discomfort is significantly minimized. Most patients experience mild prickling sensations without requiring local anesthesia.
Which laser wavelengths are supported by this machine?
The system supports standard 1064nm and 532nm wavelengths, with optional 585nm and 650nm filters, allowing targeted treatment for multi-colored tattoos, melasma, and hyperpigmentation.
Is there any downtime after Picosecond laser treatment?
Downtime is minimal. Mild redness or swelling may appear for a few hours up to 24 hours. Any light superficial scabbing usually sheds naturally within 7–14 days.
